Import and export assets

Use CSV for bulk setup and controlled updates.

CSV import/export is the fastest method for large asset sets.

Export assets

  1. Open Assets.
  2. Select the module.
  3. Select Export CSV.
  4. Save the file as your working template.

Import assets

  1. Open Assets.
  2. Select the same module.
  3. Select Import CSV.
  4. Upload your file.
  5. Confirm mapping suggestions.
  6. Resolve validation warnings.
  7. Confirm import.

Safe import practices

  • Start from the latest exported template.
  • Keep header names unchanged.
  • Keep one asset per row.
  • Do not mix multiple modules in one file.
  • Leave optional cells empty instead of deleting columns.

When validation fails

  • Check required fields first.
  • Check date and number formats.
  • Check lifecycle/status values against allowed values.
  • Re-run import after corrections.

For row-level troubleshooting, open the import wizard messages and fix only flagged rows first.
